The Korean language has an estimated 80 million speakers across the world. Korean, also called Hangul (한국말), is the official language of both North and South Korea. The Hanguk dialect is spoken in South Korea. Although Korean might be ranked as one of the more difficult languages to learn by the Foreign Service Institute (FSI), it is by no means impossible. In fact, compared to Japanese and Chinese, Korean has some huge advantages that make it easy to learn. How long it take to learn Korean? It really comes down to you, and how much time you put into it. If you are serious about becoming fluent, or at least able to have conversations, it would take at least 2-4 hours of daily study over the course of perhaps 1-2 years for most people. Good luck!
